Yeah, why can't you get them in a pack of twenty any more? It's a waste of packaging.

I just received it in the mail the other day. Half of it is completely unlistenable thanks to Derek Bailey's inability or unwillingness to play guitar like a professional musician. Sylvian's lyrics and melodies pretty much reek throughout the entire disc. The only song I find somewhat interesting is Late Night Shopping, and that is pretty weak also.
What a disappointing disc. This one could have stayed in the vaults. Sylvian needs to surround himself and his ideas with stellar musicians.

I tend to be of the opinion that the only reason that this "blemish" has been released was to coincide with the start up of Sylvian's own website and he needed something he could sell under the umbrella of his own independent company. So he rushed this one together to make some quick cash off of his fans.

so Julio, what do you think about the cd?

haven't heard it but derek bailey is not there to 'play guitar like a professional musician'.

I would've put this in the latest top five thread if Julio hadn't reminded me of my disease. I've never been in denial, but I figure I should at least cut down -- or at least, for once, wait until the end of the year. (I think I'm finally a full-fledged Bailey fan too.)
