This is real, so it doesn't exactly qualify, but I'm currently one of the prime movers behind an ad hoc ensemble called "Cheap Painters" : Cheap Trick songs perfomed in the style of the Red House Painters. I have a session in about an hour to put the finishing touches on our version of "Up The Creek" (Yes, it's just as bad as the original--our version of "She's Tight," OTOH, is pretty nice).
