Hey

I should be down there this wknd. I have the impression there's a few posters out there now. Would anyone be up for a meet maybe at Casa on Saturday sometime?

sundar subramanian (sundar), Tuesday, 10 June 2003 19:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, it looks like the Unireverse is opening for Martin Rev at Casa Sat night. I'll probably go to that so maybe that could be a meeting? Doesn't have to be though.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Tuesday, 10 June 2003 20:09 (twenty-two years ago)

I might go by that show--or perhaps pass by later, as I have a million thigns to do that night.

s1utsky (slutsky), Tuesday, 10 June 2003 20:49 (twenty-two years ago)

A million things, eh? Look who's all popular like...

cybele (cybele), Tuesday, 10 June 2003 20:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I just found out that the Unireverse isn't playing anymore. This will probably = a change in plans.

yeah, there are going to be toasts in my honour all over the city that night, and it looks really bad if I don't at least show up and shake some hands

Hey, I'm thinking about a change of address, and Mtl still stands as my favourite Cdn city and therefore looms large on my mind.
What are rents like?
When I lived there five years ago was pretty reasonable, but checking the online classifieds of the Hour and the Mirror suggests things have changed.
What about employment possibilities for a nearly bilingual with a sociology B.A. who has spent the last five years working in a bank?

HoraceMann, Wednesday, 11 June 2003 02:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Rent is still very reasonable compared to anywhere else, only places have gotten pretty hard to find.

As for employment possibilities--really depends on what kind of a job you're looking for.

four years pass...

Anyone up for a FAP on Friday or Saturday? Sundar is back in town again for Suoni, and the beers at Dieu Du Ciel right now are some of the best I've ever had there (Penombre changed my life).

What say you Montrealeans?!

Will M., Sunday, 1 June 2008 21:51 (seventeen years ago)

Let's say the Saturday!

Will M., Sunday, 1 June 2008 21:52 (seventeen years ago)

To be clear, I gave Will the wrong dates at first. I'll be there Sat and Sun and Sun is best for FAPping. But I'm def going to Oneida and Nels Cline.

Where's your show, Robyn? If I get all my shit done, there's an off chance I could come a day early (or might stay for Mon). I'll be staying in the Hen.

Sundar, Monday, 2 June 2008 01:21 (seventeen years ago)

Sundar, Monday, 2 June 2008 06:29 (seventeen years ago)

rrrobyn, Monday, 2 June 2008 11:46 (seventeen years ago)

Hey, so I'll be coming Saturday. (Hope the show goes well). Doing Oneida and Cline and will be up for some beering either day. If anyone's still interested, that'd be cool.

Sundar, Friday, 6 June 2008 02:50 (seventeen years ago)

Definitely gonna be there for Cline, most probably for Oneida. If you're hooking up with Will, I'll probably find you.

I was gonna hit that de Courcelle show after the Grant Hart show, my friend is putting up the show.
