This album (RTRADECD104) is really amazing... but I can't find anything about the band anywhere. It reminds me of Life Without Buildings, but I'm not really sure why beyond the distinctive female vocals (which are not really like LWB, but anyway...). I am almost 100% sure they are nothing to do with the old Flying Nun band of the same name, though the album wouldn't sound out of place next to say, the Bats or Verlaines... so, anyone know who they are or where they are from?

I really don't hear much similarity to Life Without Buildings, but I agree that the album is very good. I do wish that more of the songs had percussion. When I saw them open up for Zwan, Dave Pajo played drums on more than half of the songs, and I definitely think that the songs sounded better that way.

They are a new band, not the Flying Nun group. They are a duo, the guy plays guitar and the girl sings and plays harp, ukule, and electric guitar. There isn't much electric guitar on the album, but when she plays the electric guitar live, it sounds a lot like Dirt Of Luck-era Helium.
