I already saw it in a record store last w-e and it looks pretty damn juicy, but as with the Cure Trilogy DVD I feel vaguely guilty of lapping up 'just-giving-the-fans-what-they-want' type of products..

So to make it more general: ageing/reformed bands catering specifically to their hardcore fans: C/D?

Classic. Although it makes treasure-hunting a thing of the past - so dud, for that.

You're talking about "Seven Year Itch" right? Classic for "Icon" and "Jigsaw Feeling", but very very very DUD for that rendition of "Land's End" (awe-inspiring drumming aside).

yeah. well, i'll probably end up getting it. No matter how poor the renditions of the songs are, that track listing, and simply the taste behind it, makes it total classic..

Funnily enough, was just holding the Cure DVD in my hands about twenty minutes ago....but I put it back. I just wonder: how often would I really sit down and watch/listen to it? I love Pornography and Disintegration, but never had much time for Bloodflowers.

You'll be bemused to learn that I bought the official score to Disney's "Dumbo" instead (as a pricey Japanese import, no less).

Alex - I know what you're saying, but do yrself a favour and get, if only for the sound quality of the whole thing. i could imagine myself listening to these versions (esp. Disintegration) rather than the albums from now on. But yeah, I can't really see myslef watching the whole thing straight as it was supposed to be..
