There's a hilarious commercial on IRIEFM (not that hilarious commercials on IRIEFM are few and far between...) these days with a harsh bashment riddim and Bounty Killer expounding on the virtues of Singer sewing machines.
I don't know if I should consider the implications of an ultra-macho dancehall deejay hocking a traditionally ultra-domestic product or just laugh at how ridiculous this is. Can anyone think of another musician hired to promote a product that makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE considering who they are?

i'm not sure that sewing machines are traditionally ultra-domestic. tailors were generally men. and actually, the tailor at my dry cleaners is a jamaican man.

I wonder how high Bounty Killer and whoever-Singer's-marketing-exec-is got to have to decide this was a good idea? Which it was, btw. We need more commercials like this.
