(sorry that second one looks v.small and feeble by comparison, i'll try and find a better version and then abuse my mod privs to replace it) (five mins later and privs abused: that looks a bit better)

Preferring Bell's side. By a rather narrow margin.
Because... I've seen much less of his than Klarwein's work, I suppose. Certainly there's more Klarweined kovers than Belled sleeves I have.

Mark is all Funkadelic crazy now.

I met Pedro Bell at a Kinko's in Chicago once!! He was directly ahead of me in queue, and he was picking up some new drawings or comics that he had them duplicate. I didn't know what he looked like, but the style was unmistakably his so I introduced myself. Very nice man, seemed like he was going through some tough times. He gave a copy of some drawings. I was thrilled to meet him as I love those old Funkadelic covers. Sometimes I put the records on, and I look at every little drawing and word bubble and bit of text, and I haven't even finished devouring the cover before the side ends!

I thought I read that Pedro Bell had some horribly debilitating palsy or something that has all but destroyed his ability to draw. True?

The incident I described was about four or five years ago, but he appeared perfectly ambulatory and lucid, if maybe a bit haggard..
