Now that I've seen all of these bootlegs all nicely catalogued and made some decisions as to which ones I'd like to track down (namely, those 3-disc sets of "outtakes & demos" called "cosmos" and so on), can someone offer a newbie bootleg collecter a helpful hint as to how I can start looking?

Shops. Ask around on newsgroups. These things are, well, not legal, you know. Look out for wolves dressed as soft , music loving lambs ; )

eric the number of prince boots at record fairs
is usually astonishing. what's cool is you can take
yr cd walkman and play *before* purchase.

having said that, i 've bought rare prince stuff online, 3 years ago
as it happens. can't recall where from but you can
spot decent/reputable sites/sellers a mile off.

i got a channel 4 parade tour live show from 1988
i hadnt seen in 12 years. i was incredibly pleased.
