yeah? all of you can piss off. it's 'bout the benjamins, innit.

doom-e, Monday, 16 June 2003 19:15 (twenty-two years ago)

i had an interview pulled because the trendy record label manager did not like the fact that i told him to fuck off. why? because the guy is a dick. he *used* me for contacts. and then got mad when the contacts told him to fuck off when he placed their names on spam lists to impress their distributors.

trendy people who tell me it's about keepin' it real can eat my dick.

doom-e, Monday, 16 June 2003 19:17 (twenty-two years ago)

"Keepin' it real"...I'm at the point where I will eviscerate the next person I hear say that. And the first person who publicly states that they are "Keepin' it Fake" should get the nobel peace prize as far as I'm concerned.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Monday, 16 June 2003 19:20 (twenty-two years ago)

It should be "Keeping it Regal"
like that margarine that makes you wear a crown when you taste its goodness.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 16 June 2003 19:22 (twenty-two years ago)

"Keepin' it Reeled"....the catchphrase to drop when the inevitable Hip Hop/Sport Fishing trend hits big this summer.

s1utsky (slutsky), Monday, 16 June 2003 19:25 (twenty-two years ago)

It should be "Keeping it Regal"
Welll...okay. You don't win the Nobel, but I'll put in a good word at the Caldecott/Newberry Award committee.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 16 June 2003 19:29 (twenty-two years ago)

well, fuck 'em. the guy is making MORE MONEY than me and has the fucking nerve to say that: oh yes, i have a child, i deserve to treat you like a bitch, i'll do whatever it takes to succeed and then follows through about keepin' it real.

i just wrote back: you don't hear crackheads who smoke the pipe use it as an excuse cause impregnating someone is just as easy as smoking crack ... dick. the interview would have been dull.

doom-e, Monday, 16 June 2003 19:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Not to draw your ire upon myself, but you can't really expect to tell people to fuck off and then have them eager to deal with you.

that said, if you told 'em to fuck off, they probably deserved it. but y'know, you gotta expect certain things when you tell people off.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 16 June 2003 19:33 (twenty-two years ago)

keepin' it louis riel.

fields of salmon (fieldsofsalmon), Monday, 16 June 2003 19:35 (twenty-two years ago)

i was doing it through the pr. i dropped the dick months ago when he used me. and the fact of the matter is that i didnt say antyhing - i wrote an article on a cult band that they were thinking of releasing. i'm getting tonnes of emails from people, i mean, hundreds, whatever - then the guy comes out of the ether and then tells me WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE CDS....oh - that guy can eat a dick, and yes, i knew eventually, i would have to deal with it, but whatever, i'm not going to kiss his ass just to get an interview, i ain' getting paid that much to do that ....
and there is plenty of *cooler* people lined up to chat with me....

doom-e, Monday, 16 June 2003 19:37 (twenty-two years ago)

and i'm proud of myself for doing what i did - i'm a writer - not his own personal bitch. if you would have read his emails you would have cringed. everyone who has seen them did.

oh fuck everybody. i love music. i hate people.

doom-e, Monday, 16 June 2003 19:40 (twenty-two years ago)
