Pharrell roXXor, esp. when doing that "I'm brushing dandruff off myself" move, which he does a little too much, implying that he actually does have the D real bad.

I'd recommend Head and Shoulders, except that that would sound like a great sexx jamm to him and he'd spend the next 35 minutes in a studio cookin' it up and he'd offer it to B2K, and they bore me.

Puffy at least had the benefit of cartoonish hedonism. Pharrel just stands there. Me and a friend were watching MTV and imagining where Pharrell would pop up in each video. One would involve him rising out the ocean.

Pharrell popping up in any and all videos makes each one better thanks. Not only is he super hot, super sexy , he's the reason whatever song (since he does all the hot ish) is hot in the first place he can plant his fine self in any damn video he very well pleases. I watch MTV with the sound off *cos it sucks*, but whenever I see Pharrell in a video I turn it up cos you can be sure it'll be good.... 'Frontin' being the case in point.... humming it after 1 play....

Moreover, he's not afraid to smile dopily and look a bit lost, and he's pretty un-bling campared to Diddy or Jay-Z. He's an unStar.

In short, I get excited.

The "Frontin'" video has a unique indie/hip hop (but NOT "indie hip hop") crossover vibe, and it shoehorns Jay-Z and a bunch of lovelies into that aesthetic nicely. I like how Pharrell is far too gentle and self-mocking a figure to fit into the typical hip hop video aesthetic, so directors are forced to come up with something new.

The song is OK, his vocals strain a bit too much for my comfort, but I haven't heard it enough times. The Jay-Z part is nice though. He's doing a better job at cameos than his own albums these days.

And I should add, he doesn't fit into the "nu soul" format, videowise or otherwise, either--he doesn't have the earthiness or ponderousness associated with that genre. He's too goofy.

It's kinda funny, like he just figured out that women find him attractive and he's only starting to play it up now (like with the tux and Usher mannerisms in the "Excuse Me Miss" video. But he looks fucking COOL in the "Pass the Courvosier" video, especially the part in the alley where everyone is dressed like 30's gangsters. Everyone else in the video looks like such a clown, but he's just slithering.

When is Chad gonna get jealous? Can he just not sing falsetto? Is that it?
