Well Ministry of Sound are rather pissed off with me over the cover art of the latest Spasticated. release Minstry of Shit.

we kinda use the logo on the cover art hmmm.. well smeared in faeces.
so they are requesting all remaing copies be destroyed.
hopefully there will be a way around it...

didnt MOS themselves face legal proceedings from the Government over the appropriation of an existing logo and trademark? i suppose they feel that because the got stung they're not gonna let someone else sting them...not that this Spasticated release is really going to cause any problems to them whatsoever.

if any music journalist chappies wish to run a little article on this, please do. it might just spoil the ministry of sound's new publication launch next week, which is called "trash" and has no relation to the london club of the same name.

the cease-and-desist document is immortal for the line "It has come to our attention that you have released a compilation entitled 'Ministry of Shit 2003 Anus'"

does anyone have any info on the ministry of sounds logo use and any legal issues . i rememebr the story but never saw any proof. it's pretty obvious a case of misery of sound (tm*) thinking they were onto a winner.

hehe yeah

will be interesting to see what they will go to. I heard that they were actually in a bit of financial trouble anyway. They certainly won't get much from me..

this time last yera, MoS were in finincial trouble. their investment in fischerspooner didn't pay off. I mean, 2 million dollars to sign a band to release an album that their fans already bought when it first came out. they put a finincial squeeze on city rockers as a result.

I did hear that they managed to offload fischerspooner for the same price they bought them for, and the fact that MoS are owned by a very large multinational business group (that appears to have business interests in air traffic control and missile systems)
