Anyone going? If so, come find me. I'm wearing black jeans and t-shirt with the cover of Metallic KO by Iggy & the Stooges on it.

Huzzah.

Oh I would love to but I'm feeling kinda tired. Are there still tickets?

GOD I miss NYC right now...

Oh shit, I forgot about this show. I'm gonna have to opt out, though. Have fun, Alex!

Saw him in Boston a week ago and he was ... unfocused. Or is he always like that?

Chris Dahlen (Chris Dahlen), Monday, 23 June 2003 22:44 (twenty-two years ago)

somehow I doubt it. he's the most consistent live performer I have ever seen, anywhere

(that he's always like that, not that the show CD saw was unfocused, which it may well have been)

Well, it was a decent-ish show. The fuckin' Knitting Factory is a damn furnace, I'll say that. We were pretty close for the beginning, but it just simply got too hot for me, so I retreated to the cooler climate by the bar. Jonathan's looking a bit older these days....which isn't surprising, I guess, but he always seemed to ageless in the past.

In any event, he dusted off "Pablo Picasso" and "Old World" from the first Modern Lovers record, so I was a happy boy.

saw two richman threads revived and panicked thinking he'd died. i never give a hoot about popstars/celebs dying but the idea of renowned good guy richman croaking made me very :(
