Mr Swygart selects 10 new releases each week. Participants select where they end up in the top 40, or, indeed, if they actually will. Scoring runs like this:
10 points for a correct position5 points for one position either side1 point two positions either side
If participants don't think a pick will make the top 40, then they can predict 'Outside Top 40' which, if correct, score two points. If they manage to predict the exact position outside the top 40 where it enters, they get 15 points. There are no points for going either side of this position, though.
Bonus points are available by selecting which record is at a certain, randomly selected position in the following week's chart, e.g. #27. Getting that right earns 10 points.
Correctly predicting the number one single scores ten bonus points.
Also, cos of midweeks and such, all picks posted after midday on Tuesday will score only half points.
Hopefully those rules are understandable - only just come up with them, though, so if anyone has any complaints, etc., then I'm listening.
But now, the picks to predict for next week are:

I think I'm also gonna scrap the two points for just predicting outside the top 40... it just doesn't seem to work, somehow.
Anyway - I've calculated the scores, so I'm going to start a new thread with them on.
