Complete and total guitar mutilation noise blast from the center of heaven. Picture Fushitsusha, only VERY drunk. Or maybe Skullflower, only a bit more so. I'm listening to them right now. My speakers are pleading for mercy as my brain screams for more aural torture. I'm down with it.

www.loadrecords.com --- playing tomorrow at Sine if you're in NYC. New LP just out, it's killer. Rumor that next stuff is heading towards Thomas Brinkmann terrain, but if he was like, drunk and attacking everyone at shows...

I really love this band. They've progressed amazingly from their first LP and 7". The 7", I think, is even better than the LP because it still had some type of traditional melody/structure to it. On the first record they abandoned that and went for total guitar annihiliation, but without so much interesting structure/rhythm/experimentalism to back it up. That record came across more as unschooled crashing and screaming. Good for what it is, but not much more.

Michigan Haters is amazing, and I agree that "Chili Dog" is probably the song to hear if you could only hear one. All of the long jams on that album are super though. Haven't heard much of Absolutes yet, but will pick it up as soon as Ben drops more copies at Armageddon (and when I'm out of my "ten days without buying a record" period.)

I've only heard the S/T and was pretty 'meh' about it. I hope that on their new album they're able to do more than just BLAAARRRGH.

i think the s/t is the least of their stuff so far. "michigan haters" and the new one are much more interesting.

michigan haters is their noise masterpiece but i think absolutes is more rhythmic and groove based tho' only because the drums aren't quite as distorted as on earlier stuff
