Tune ID, (house)

At Glastonbury Erol Alkan and Plump DJs both played this great house tune with a massive electric guitar through it. It has a vocal which is muffled but is very diva like and only comes in once or twice saying what sounds like "can't get enough".

The riffs in the electric guitar are very similar to stuff of the Poney EP by Vitalic, except that they do actually sound like an electric guitar riff. The climax in the song is almost totally guitar.

The song is exactly 30 minutes into this streamed set http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio1_aod.shtml?essmix

If anyone fancies listening and telling me I'd be delighted.

OK, just started listening. The track @ the 10m mark (with that female vocal going on "you look like a harlot, use your legs" or something like that) is pretty great too!

I suppose you mean the one after that "now I wanna be your doll" tune (which I've completely forgotten the title of....that's rediculous...I've played this many times!). Great tune indeed, sounds a bit like a Moguai production.

Y'mean the Stooges rip, "Doggystyle," Siegbran? Isn't that Archigram?

(Sorry Ronan: I don't have the answer either.)

Ah fuck yeah.

It's a pretty cool Erol Alkan set though.

"Doggystyle" is also on the free Erol Alkan mix CD that comes with the Puff Daddy cover issue of Muzik.

'Doggystyle' is also on Archigram's Waves 2 mix which must be owned while the sun shines and sets like a bastard

That Muzik mix ends so rock-tweaking, what with that and the Daft Punk cover. (It also makes me think that if Duran Duran really did put together Night mixes for "all" of their singles, someone needs to make a bundle on a reissue ASAP.) (The Playgroup remix is still the thing that gets me, though.)

(Also: is this "harlot" track the Felix da Housecat one or is someone else borrowing lines? I can't stream the mix from here.)

Just found out it's the Justin Robertson remix of "Harlot".
