Working with the Matrix

Who would you like to see go into the studio with The Matrix? That's like the offhand music article comment of the year, "[x] is cutting some tracks with hit-makers The Matrix." Maybe they can do something for Joni Mitchell.

I wasn't kidding about freeway. The classic rock stuff on Philadelpha Freeway is really suggestive and I'd love to see how he'd stretch his flow to spice up less funky productions.

Robert Pollard, HELL YES.

they could try and make a worse GbV album than Do The Collapse!

little stevie malkmus

jack cole (jackcole), Thursday, 3 July 2003 04:02 (twenty-two years ago)

wolk has GBV so down. they could take three of his great melodies and somehow fruitfully fit them in the SAME SONG -- all at once even!

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Thursday, 3 July 2003 04:03 (twenty-two years ago)

but meanwhile i'm just saying -- if the neptunes could produce jt and britney why can't the matrix branch into some heavier r&b and some hip-hop?

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Thursday, 3 July 2003 04:04 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm not being snarky here -- honest! -- what is it you like about the Matrix, Sterling?

jack cole (jackcole), Thursday, 3 July 2003 04:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Holy crap GBV + The Matrix = a _Do The Collapse_ that even the crankypantsed naysayers would like! (Or hate more.) (Yeah, probably hate more.)
