Robocop Krauss

Not a fucking thing. Nowt on allmusic (which I imagine you already checked).

German punk-funk kind of thing - to be fair, they don't really sound similar to The Rapture at all, although they have a similar set of influences.

I came across the randomly at a gig a while back - four blokes, dressed all in white, with a lead singer who looks like Stuart Pierce playing a camp 80s popstar. Noisy guitars, incessant drumming and basslines, punkish squall, drones, big chunky slaps of Farfisa organ whacked over the top of them. At the end of the gig, the lead singer picked up the snare drum and walked out of the venue with it, with the drummer following on behind whacking out this same rhythm over and over again while the rest of the band disintegrated around them. It was a nice touch.

As far as I'm aware this was their first, if not only, UK gig and their records (none of which I've heard) are currently only available in Germany. Knowing my luck they'll probably turn out to be rubbish, but that gig was aceness personified.

Were they nihilists?

got a 7". sounds like skids. disappointing.

i saw them live a couple of mounth ago: they are something like the Hives with a keyboard player. and i don't like the Hives.

they also played too much.

I just bought the album. Rubbish. I was totally wrong. They are nothing at all like the Rapture (nor are they better) but they're like a poor German Hot Hot Heat with nice organ sounds. Never listen to anything I say ever again.

(It was a good gig though)
