"Aloha Steve & Danno" by Radio Birdman.

Ocean Colour Scene. But I doubt you'd want to include that- it might make you want to holler "Take me to the river...". My favourite sea related song has to be Sophia's The Sea.

Standing By The Sea from Hüsker Dü, Im sure Sean could say which songs from Elevator have tide noises. Driftwood and Taste of The Greate Beyond I think do.

Of Montreal: Butterscotching Mr.Lynn...I think during in the bit that goes..."I like to pretend you're made out of a drwabridge operator's favorite radio program ....arrghh, you're listening to 81.3 sound of the sea"

The first Silver Jews album will hook you up. "Trains Across the Sea" especially.

About half the tracks on FSA's Chorus or Further albums.

Richard Tunnicliffe, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh, yes. There are also rivers, tarns, lakes and seas. Although lakes themselves tend to be very quiet.

Lyra, Wednesday, 1 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier: In Sharky Water by Disco Inferno.

"Sub mission" by the Sex Pistols.

As long as I'm referencing Lennon on these threads... the beginning to "Beautiful Boy," on Double Fantasy. Complete with chiming glass count-in for the second time on the album!

You know that massively overplayed track by Groove Armada that you hear PLAYED EVERY DAY IN EVERY FUCKING BAR, HERE IN BRIGHTON at the moment (but which you actually can't help liking)

Robin Carmody, Friday, 3 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sorry....a bit belated on all this, but....Ocean Colour Scene????

hannah, Friday, 3 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Just want to clarify that when I said 'Ocean Colour Scene?' I was actually questioning this as a choice - not sure how it relates or compares to the river/tarn/lake theme. Are we just randomly stating music incorporating water somewhere in the title/content? Or is it actually about the music where the essence is aquatic? I am definitely with The Halloween Boat on this one. Fell asleep listening to it and had dreams about drowning...

hannah, Friday, 3 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Rush - "Natural Science".
