Myself and some others are DJing in support of Capitol K at the Retro Bar on Friday.

It's our first collective DJ - Here's what I've got in mind so far

The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner - Audio Book

Twink - Do You Hear the Frog
Eliza Carthy - Jackie Tar (with a breakbeat behind it)
Wicker Man Soundtrack - The Maypole Song
Clint Mansell - Bugs Got A Devilish Grin Conga
Max Tundra - Mastered by the guy at the Exchange

And theres about another 15 mins to fill. I want to get in some Chris De Burgh, the theme from Knightmare and this peculiar version of Gay Bar my friend made with Reaktor.

Any suggestions of other things that would fit the mood? I'm going for horror and repulsion here.

Retro Bar is opposite UMIST. It's a good place.

I say 'Contort yourself' by James White, second Blueski's Grace Jones, wads of V/vm, 'Desire' by Tuxedomoon (the one off Downtown 81), some Lydia Lunch and I'd also say ULTRASPACK obviously.

I might very well head down to this myself, you gonna be there Pisces?Is Capitol K playing there as part of some night or is it a standalone gig?

Megarider are playing, Shirokuma's Dj'ing and it is also the birth of Witchfinder General, which is what this whole scary setlist thing is about. I'm trying to achieve Christopher Lee covering Fade to Grey in a haunted forest.

one year passes...

I neeeeeeed a Styx - Mr Roboto acapella mp3/wav/cd whatever. I'm going to make a Kanye-style hip-hop track, speeding up a sample of Styx, i've already made the beat and bass. I'll send everyone a copy if someone could send me or tell me where to get that acapella.
