Woke up having dreamt of the forthcoming LTM Be-Music compilation so was singing "Can't afford" by 52nd St and "Love tempo" by Quando Quango while in the bathroom.

Actual music listened to:
"Tour de France 03" CD - Kraftwerk (walking to the train station, waiting for train)
The last four tracks of the Thrills CD (on train, going into work).

And since then? Lots of people taking 118888 calls (I monitor them, you know).

After inexplicably tracking K by Kula Shaker in its unspeakable entirety, I left the apartment (day off) for many hours. Came back and played a newly purchased copy of New York Noise: Dance Music from the New York Underground 78-82, but got a bit bored at some spots and skipped around. After that, I listened to disc one of Nude on the Moon, the B-52s package. Am now listening to Oil & Gold by Shriekback, if only because it doesn't get nearly enough respect from the pabulum-gorged jackals that sluggishly trot their fatuous, Beyonce-addled opinion 'round these boards.

I'm lisening to some Kurdish music (I think it's from a UNESCO collection) and parts of this really remind me of parts of Fred Frith's Clearing. Kurdish music is a bit odd though; they only have one mode. It seems very stark, in general, though I haven't heard enough to be so sure.
