press play and start clicking on things. oh you can click on the face of the instrument you're using and it flips over and you can plug things into eachother. make sure everything is plugged into your main mixer and turn the volume up!

I thought this would be some snarky thread about how many posters here don't know a syllogism from a cum stain.

Which Reason are you working with, Ronan? I could share all of my trial-and-error "so that's how you use that" revelations only for the one I have.

not sure exactly, I have no real idea what anything is, managed a few drum beats but can't work the synths or pretty much anything else, this is after a short trial run. First problem is the drums are very staticy, this may be my speakers but they are fine for music usually.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 19:56 (twenty-two years ago)

It's probably not your speakers. Any question you could possibly have, about troubleshooting or technique or anything has probably already been addressed at some point on the forums at http://www.reasonstation.net

Do you have a midi keyboard? You can control the synths without one using the Matrix (I think it's called), but having one really really helps.

If you are new to the whole synth programming/drum machine/mixers/samplers world, it might be worth investing 20 squids in Craig Anderton's book:

glenny g2003 (glenny g2003), Thursday, 10 July 2003 09:21 (twenty-two years ago)

it's easy to find on kazaa or eMule/Donkey or Direct Connect or IRC or Usenet or you could wait for it to turn up on a Bittorrent site or pretty much anywhere else programs are downloaded other than the web.

I found the ISO images on Overnet. Bare in mind that the program in full is 1.6gb, or thereabouts.
