Is the madkid possessed by the spirit of the alcoholic from the dryout house or wot? I read this somewhere and things began to fall into place, but I'd love to see a thorough examination. Or is this line of inquiry contrary to the point of Fall fandom eg. it is impenetrable=it is cool?

my facile reading is madkid=narrator (not happy, genius-level smarts, working class, backwards, looked like hell, looking for a fight). alcoholic bit fits in.

I've found the text I spoke of above. It apparently appeared in a Hex Enduction press kit:

"A tale concerning an insane child who is taken over by a spirit from the mind of a cooped-up alcoholic"

Fascinating, but there's room for a great deal more, I think...
