The Treble Clef :: top
The four inner spaces of the treble clef read upwards spell the word FACE.
The five lines read upwards spell EGBDF which you can remember using the phrase 'Every Good Boy Deserves Favours'.
The treble clef is also called the G clef because the inner curve of the clef symbol marks the horizontal line associated with the note G above middle C. The treble clef is actually a stylised letter G.
When drawing this symbol freehand it is easiest to start with the end of the curve about the G line in the middle of the symbol and end at the large dot at the bottom of the symbol.

The Bass Clef :: top
The bass clef is also called the F clef because the two dots in the clef symbol lie above and below the horizontal line associated with the note F below middle C. The bass clef symbol is actually a stylised letter F where the two horizontal lines of the letter have been reduced to two dots.
When drawing this symbol freehand it is easiest to start from the large dot and end with the tail at the bottom of the symbol - after which one adds the two dots on either side of the F line.
The names of the bass clef lines GBDFA can be remembered by the phrase Good Boys Don't Fight At all and the four inner spaces ACEG by the phrases All Cows Eat Grass or All Cars Eat Gas.

The Alto Clef :: top
The alto clef is one of a number that use the C clef symbol, so named because the the clef symbol is centered on the horizontal line associated with the note middle C.

Other Clefs
Soprano & Mezzo-Soprano Clefs :: Tenor Clef :: Baritone & Subbass Clefs :: French Violin Clef :: Octave Clefs :: Indefinite Pitch Clef

This cool guy named "Aube" writes some cool backing tracks for people like yourself. If you go on Kazaa and grab a song (search for Aube), you can sing over it maybe?

Get a tape recorder and when something pops into your head you can sing into it. You can make it sound better later. This is better than notating, which takes forever to learn and just slows you down. If your song gets famous enough, well, somebody else can write that stuff down. Or find a band who needs a singer with your enthusiasm, they're everywhere!

RE: Tape recorder.. Good idea. Did you see the auditions for American Idol? Listen to yourself first. If you can stand it, proceed.
