Disgusting reporting of Dizzee stabbing

This landed in my inbox this morning and I have to say kinda ticked me off. Following a link saying "Dizzee gets knifed: is this the start of the UK answer to Tupac and Biggie?" I came across this: http://www.ammocity.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=286
Nice glib remark about Asher D and a "converted Super-Soaker". Yup, damn near split my sides, that one - don't they realise that a person is in hospital, seriously hurt as a result of a potentially lethal act of violence? Morons. What's the betting we see a lot more of this kind of stuff in our cutting-edge, irreverent music press?

I thought he was released from the hospital?

James Blount (James Blount), Friday, 11 July 2003 08:45 (twenty-two years ago)

has he been? i don't know. if so that only points to this story being inaccurate as well as fucking stupid.

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Friday, 11 July 2003 08:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Dizzee Rascal being stabbed doesn't mean we can't make jokes about Asher D being a fucking moron though, does it?

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Friday, 11 July 2003 09:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm an american. What's this about a super soaker?

Dan I. (Dan I.), Friday, 11 July 2003 09:04 (twenty-two years ago)

A big water pistol

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Friday, 11 July 2003 09:08 (twenty-two years ago)

the ilm thread disgusted me more

Chip Morningstar (bob), Friday, 11 July 2003 09:13 (twenty-two years ago)

yup that weren't too clever either - all the best dizzee!

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Friday, 11 July 2003 09:17 (twenty-two years ago)

what i wanna know is why is he releasing 'fix up look sharp' as his next single and not 'jus a rascal'?!?! are xl deliberately trying to appeal to indie pricks or what

sean g, Friday, 11 July 2003 11:35 (twenty-two years ago)

well, duh.

Jacob (Jacob), Friday, 11 July 2003 11:43 (twenty-two years ago)

ditto

James Blount (James Blount), Friday, 11 July 2003 11:43 (twenty-two years ago)

(which is apparently why dizzee signed with them)

James Blount (James Blount), Friday, 11 July 2003 11:44 (twenty-two years ago)

because he wants to appeal to indie pricks?

sean g, Friday, 11 July 2003 12:17 (twenty-two years ago)

ding ding ding!

James Blount (James Blount), Friday, 11 July 2003 12:22 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah right

sean g, Friday, 11 July 2003 12:47 (twenty-two years ago)

because it's the best song on the album, prolly. or at least one of the few catchy ones. and jus a rascal has annoying backing vocals.

Ben Williams, Friday, 11 July 2003 12:59 (twenty-two years ago)

five years pass...

even if paxman did treat him a bit patronisingly - and i dont think he did actually, he was just having a bit of a laugh towards the end, but at the start he treated him just like anyone else - dizzee didnt exactly do himself any favours!

Paxman is right he's not British, Jesus was born in a stable but he's not a fuckin horse, its a sad day if he's classed as British.
