YUP. Interestingly enough, I was actually thinking this over earlier today while browsing through the CDs at Borders. WTF INDEED. My guess is maybe Tom Erlewine REALLY liked it. As much as I love David Cross, the rehkohd wahnt purfeck, ya know. Eminem's first 2 have also been promoted to classic status, which is kinda ca-ray-zee, despite the somewhat justified hype.

I do have a lot of sentimental value with SUYFB! 'cos I bought it the same day I had the interview for the job I have now, and I was listening to it on a dreary yet still kinda nice fall afternoon, riding the bus, trying desperately not to let everyone else see that I was about to break down in conniption fits at "Lady Justice, why won't you be my wife?" But there's some stretches of blah, and some things that've been done better before (the star athlete talking about himself in the first person? Chris Rock to thread!).

On the other hand... ah, fuck it, it's genius.
