A bunch of my friends, but not me.

They were suprisingly very, very good when I saw them here in Vancouver. A good set list, bang on performances, lots of energy. I'd just decided to go two days prior, and had no regrets.

I would not be surprised if this were their last tour. They were trotting out the hits like a farewell tour, and finished off with This Is A Low..

My friend/coworker Tom said something similar about the LA show. This ties in with my general belief that Graham was baggage they needed to lose about eight years back.

So you'd called Think Tank a success? The proper step?

Ned may not, but I sure will.

I think that too! Fuck Blur and 13 and anything Graham ever said about being some sort of spiritual avatar of American indie rock slop.

Think Tank is flawed just like every other Blur album. The good stuff (Ambulance, Out of Time, My White Noise, Battery In My Leg) is really good and the bad stuff (Caravan, Brothers and Sisters, Moraccan People's..., ..To The Club, Jets) is bad.

Not that Mr. Robinson's Quango is anything to write home about, either though. But on Think Tank the bad does seem to outnumber the good. And the bad stuff seems to be just crazy (see:Jets), not mis-execution.

It's really not much worse than s/t or TGE, though, when you think about it.

I really like Caravan. Crazy Beat is terrible, though.

Out Of Time has one of my favourite melodies written in recent years.
