C90: Ugly American(s)

Looking for suggestions for an "ugly American" mix, hopefully avoiding the old-hippie-cliches (CCR Dylan, Ochs, "Ohio," etc.) or the punk-rock cliches ("I'm So Bored With the USA"), though I love most of the above.

I think I've got some kind of mental block (or just listen to the wrong music), 'cuz I'm coming up blank.
