it seems that after wonderful rainbow was released, lightning bolt disappeared from all musical horizons...is there a reason why they're not touring for their new album..even a show here or there? the only news so far is the knitting factory show..and even that seems like a fluke. are they building up popular demand in their absence or is it apathy?

kekekeke. Lightning Bolt are doing a mini tour of the northeast with Wolf Eyes late next month (I think it will last about a week), and a longer tour in the fall--I think October.

The 30th of August is the NYC date with Wolf Eyes, not sure about the rest.

Yes, that is who I first thought of when I saw this thread.

LB was a shortened version of Lassigue Bendthaus, which was Uwe Schmidts main and (IMHO) best project until he ended it after Pop Artificial. So it is dead, alas.

I've heard them practicing nearly every time I'm in their building and I have only heard them play something I knew *once* in the past 6 months. There's new material a-brewing.
