i haven't heard this one yet, but 'heartbeat', from the previous album, was one of the best pop songs of its moment (along with 'if i ever feel better', by their compères phoenix).

i had semi-high hopes of this, but thought it rather dull and underwhelming actually (this was nine months or so ago, mind, when it came out in france & the benelux. i'll give it another go if someone can convince me it's worth it)

second album: seven, at best. just.... well, boring. ven their live show seems tohave had a lot of the air taken out by album deux,

I have listened to this a few times now and it hasn't quite grabbed me yet. Too many mid paced songs I think though there is lots of other things to like about it. Maybe further listening will make it click.

To me it sounds almost like The Boo Radleys album that would link Wake Up! with Kingsize. Something to do with the singers voice and the arrangements I think.
