shurely not! sounds like a win for the chickens, to me. One of the few truly universal truths about music is that there are no bad songs about chicken. More examples:

Is it just me, or was there a point in the 50s and early 60s where every other song seemed to be about monkies or chickens?? The weirdest thing of all is how they even developed sub-genres (King Kong songs, etc.)

It's like the aural equivalent of those old DC comics where Batman fought Mongo the Bat-Ape or the Legion of Super Chickens. (Okay, I made that last one up.)

there's a great issue of savage dragon where brainiape (big gorilla with hitler's brain in an exposed glass bubble) fights powerhouse (big chicken guy) in a diner. when powerhouse wins, all of the bystanders are very grateful not to be slaughtered by this evil monkey, and one says, 'excuse me, what can we do to repay you?' powerhouse : 'next time you go out, order the beef'.

I vote monkey, if only because of the song "Helpful Monkey Wallpapers Entire Home" by Jad Fair & Yo La Tengo.

Songs about monkeys: funny. Songs about chickens: funky.

Hey, if 'monkey songs' mean anything about simians, then shouldn't the 'chicken' genre include "Disco Duck", "Jive Turkey"? Not to mention "Lay Lady Lay". Boom fucking boom!

Songs about chickens are better. Because the dances you can do to them are more far-out. "woop woop! chicken chicken! woop woop! chicken head!"
