ok I hesitate greatly to salivate this much over anything with this many connections to jambandland, but I just saw the video for "I need more love" and good god mutherfucking damn.

I should add that my resistance to gospel + hot guitar is nil.

Robert Randolph Family Band certainly do jam, but it's that sorta "praise tha lawd!" amazing southern + gospel tinged vibe that they let loose on rather than that vague "like, almost woohoo or something" vibe most "jam bands" give off.

Honestly, in the supposed "jam band" arena, Robert Randolph's group SO OWNZ IT AIN'T EVEN FUNNY EAT A BAG OF DICKS LEFTOVER WIDESPREAD BANANA BISCUITS!!!

Had it. Liked it. Got bored with it. Sold it. The first few tracks were great, but then it all started to sound the same. He's much talented, and I'm sure he'd be fun live. But I kind of react to him the same way I do Junior Brown -- the sizzling licks only take me so far, then I start wanting, you know, songs and stuff.
