You are looking for Dutch records. Look out for I-F, Alden Tyrell, Parallax Corporation, Macho Cat Garage, and SYD.

Also look into Gerhard Potuznik aka G.D. Luxxe.

Another act to check out is Casco, search a track called Cybernetic Love. Very hot Moroder'esqe synth disco. Lush.

mike is forgetting legowelt, who have a brand-new "best of" out.

um, also indeep, freez, man parrish, john carpenter, alexander robotnick, cerrone, giorgio moroder, larry levan, klein + MBO, patrick cowley, robert owens (especially w/ photek), etc.

i mean, it isn't as if most of the 70s/80s stuff isn't dark enough in it's own right.

Annie - The Greatest Hit!

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Monday, 4 August 2003 01:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Tim is stealing my line!

Try some Ewan Pearson remixes (fair's fair, Tim). Also, Headman, A1 People (very hit and miss), DJ Hell, Nylon Pylon (bit h&m too), Playgroup and Chicken Lips. Jolly Music are cool, tho' not particularly hard or dark unless remixed by Adult. and the Parallax Corp.

Maybe give some of Goldfrapp's newie a spin as well...

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Monday, 4 August 2003 15:25 (twenty-two years ago)

five months pass...
Could the juan maclean "can't have it both ways" be the signal of an imminent Thrill Kill Kult revival that's long overdue???

I'll leave it to someone else to answer that question while casually dropping "Le Car"
