ok, there are litterally millions of things, but first off I suggest you just search 'trikont'

nnnh oh oh nnnh nnnh oh (James Blount), Monday, 4 August 2003 04:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Some guidelines: I suppose this is kinda like my POXV, but I'll put it this way: My 4 fave bands/artists are Oasis, Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, and Neil Young... enjoy KISS, Queen, Zeppelin, Talking Heads, Pretenders, Springsteen (Pre 1985), Pre 1987 Metallica, Iron Maiden, Jimmy Buffett, Cat Stevens, etc... basically classic rock, early metal, and singer songwriter... still BIG fields, but any suggestions?

After judging your 15 favorites list, I was going to recommend you do something like this anyway...for starters:

Pixies - Doolittle
The Kinks - Something Else by the Kinks
New Order - Movement
Drive Like Jehu - Yank Crime
Ride - Nowhere
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Cosmo's Factory
13th Floor Elevators - The Psychedelic Sounds of...
Blondie - Parallel Lines
Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation
The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground & Nico
Cat Power - What Would the Community Think?
The Cure - Disintegration
Richard Hell & the Voidoids - Blank Generation
The Clash - self-titled
Devo - Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Monday, 4 August 2003 04:46 (twenty-two years ago)

the stone roses 's/t'

manuel, Monday, 4 August 2003 07:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Andrew Frye, that list is brilliant.

I'd add:

Nirvana -- Nevermind

and throw in a loose cannon like:

Sisters of Mercy -- Some Girls Wander By Mistake.

Just because glammy, melodramtic stuff is suggested by KISS and Queen, etc.

Oh, what about some Gun Club?

David A. (Davant), Monday, 4 August 2003 07:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Thank you so far for the list... I've heard the Clash's self titled work, and CCR's Cosmo's factory... also own Nevermind... I suppose the "limited musical knowledge" is a bit of an overstatement. I've got a wide array of knowledge and of taste. Perhaps I'd better rephrase and ask for some obscure non-radio stuff I wouldn't think to look for normally. Thanx again.
