I'm sick of bitches shakin' asses
I'm sick of talkin' about blunts,
Sick of Versace glasses,
Sick of slang,
Sick of half-ass awards shows,
Sick of name brand clothes.
Sick of R&B bitches over bullshit tracks,
Cocaine and crack
Which brings sickness to blacks,
Sick of swoll' head rappers
With their sicker-than raps
Clappers and gats
Makin' the whole sick world collapse

I learned that growin old ain't fun, and getting bitter quick (as in first single from your second album quick) is even less fun.

Always look to the positive and never drop your head
For the water will engulf us if we do not dare to tread

JoB (JoB), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 07:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm on travellin' to places that the eye can't see
but kinder, cause yo' strife don't mean a thing to me
throwin' me criminal looks, y'all need to get in the books
and drop some water in your melon, 'stead of actin' like a felon
aiyo son, who you tellin'? I'd make a mil if it was up to me
but since it ain't I teach my seed to bank hard
and than God, I smoke a substance of a different kind
catch me trippin' on earth when I'm high off sunshine

"I could hold two pieces of doo-doo in my hand."

Nag! Nag! Nag! (Nag! Nag! Nag!), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 07:13 (twenty-two years ago)

The skies over your head ain't safe no more
And Hip Hop ain't your own
And if it is then you fuckin' up the crib son
You make life look like I don't wanna live one

Captain Typo (kenan), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 07:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I show her to the lounge and I dined her
Then she gave me some digits where I could find her
I licked her like a stamp
Laid and sticked her like a champ
But the... um she gave me burn
I had to go see the doctor

(3 days later) Skeezer skeezer skeezer (Uhhhh)
(3 days later) Skeezer skeezer skeezer (Oh yeah)
(3 days later) Skeezer skeezer skeezer
(3 days later) Skeezer skeezer skeezer!

Hey kid
What's the word?
Man, it's all about mind
Keeping focused
On them self-mechanisms of rhyme
So no longer stand erect
'Cause your thoughts are drained
Walkin' round
Manifesting attributes of shame
Used to sQuabble for the mic
But now accordingly
We act
Unless a club can't afford the fee
We act
So name that any best man
To put us under
Created from the ground
Yet know nothin
'Bout the under
Take a glimpse
At them pimps
Playin record exec
Addin up all your zeros
So's to cut you a check
Saying why the blunder wonder
Could've g'd today
So you can put up some swings
For your seed to play
But a swing ain't that important
When the park's around the corner
Filled with life causing death
Greeting victims for the morning
It was the moment i feared
Nah, the moment i steered
Upon the right path
To know the right math
To over stand

person#0 (person#0), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 12:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't flaunt that the candy is good unless you came with plenty

Ess, Tuesday, 5 August 2003 13:09 (twenty-two years ago)

It's "tuhs eht lleh pu." Read it backwards.

Douglas (Douglas), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 13:29 (twenty-two years ago)

person: where they sampled it from... a series of absolutely classic 3-minute infotoons that ran on saturday morning tv in the states when we was kids. all educational, they ran from math rock to grammer rock to science rock and america rock. bob dorough is a genius, and blossom dearie -- she of the childlike voice -- sang a few really good ones.

it was sadly resurrected in the later 80s as 'Scooter Computer and Mr. Chips' to introduce kids to the wonderful world of trash 80s, commode 64s and the like.

bucky wunderlick (bucky), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 13:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Hamster penises know shit about music.
Paul's Boutique was better than 3 Feet High and Rising
Posdnuous is Plug 1 to the whole race.
Prince Paul is always down and around for a good kiss.
Stakes is high.
2 Beasties aren't quite as good as 3.
'Natal Wart'.
'Dicksnot'.
'Buttcrust'.
'Arsenio Hall gum-having punk'.
Eye know I love you better.

Barima (Barima), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 13:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Bucky: Ah right thanks -- I have the original on a tape somewhere but had no idea of who did it, save for the word "bob" being mentally tagged to the tune.

So in this case, we'll say that Schoolhouse Rock may have taught it me, but De La Soul made me BELIEVE

person#0 (person#0), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 13:45 (twenty-two years ago)

It's "tuhs eht lleh pu." Read it backwards.

Well, now I *have* learnt something! Thanks Douglas.

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Up hell the shut?

Oh wait... I get it.

Captain Typo (kenan), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I learned that Prince Paul needs a Loudons.

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:57 (twenty-two years ago)

It's funny how everything on the list of played out styles in "Take It Off" is now fully Vice Magazine hip.
