What music would be playing when you take the walk towards the light at the end of the tunnel?

I've just been listening to DJ Shadow's 'Blood On the Motorway', and it really evoked images of my own death. Ignoring any potential questions about issues I may have (!), are there any songs that do this for you, or that you would imagine (not necessarily want) soundtracking yr last breaths?

Side point: this hasn't half messed me up when those O2 adverts come on in the cinema.

I kinda hope it's Happy Talk by Captain Sensible.

"The Birdie Song". I'm not being flippant. I just dread it. I know I'm going to die in some ridiculously pathetic way. Probably involving eggs.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 09:43 (twenty-two years ago)

If The Birdie Song were to be playing as I died, I have a feeling it would make the entire ordeal a lot easier.

Origin Unknown - Valley of the Shadows

gareth (gareth), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 09:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Origin Unknown's "31 Seconds" obviously, because of the sample. Actually, the whole tracks is probably about dying.

("Felt that I was in this long dark tunnel, with a very, very bright light at the end, so brilliant, it was more brilliant than the sun")

(Mr. Bungle's)"Goodbye Sober Day" would be thoroughly appropriate, but I think (Miles Davis') "Sssh/Peaceful" would actually be ideal accompaniment.

Before I ever heard it, my friend explained Sigur Ros to me as, "The music you hear as you ascend to heaven."

However, when I actually got there, I'd like to hear some Morris Day and the Time.
