I tried putting in the CD and copying the file from the D drive folder into another folder. Apparently, it's not that simple, because when I take out the CD the file become nothingness. Damn. What do I do?

you sent the songs to narnia, where danny from hear'say will cover them and have bit hits!

You need a program to rip the songs. The "files" that you see representing the tracks on a CD aren't really files you can use on a computer like usual, they're just there to represent the songs.

So uhhh, go look for a CD-ripping program. I'm not sure what to recommend, I use one called CDex. But something like Musicmaker might be easier to use. Just google for them and you'll probably find them quickly. Just make sure that when you rip CDs, make Wav-files, not MP3s, since you're going to burn them right to CDRs anyways, you'd want the best soundquality you can get, I assume.

You need a ripper. go to http://www.musicmatch.com and get the free one.

Well, the reason I thought it would work is because the CD I'm using consisted of former MP3s that I put on CD-Rs. Weird. Ok, thanks, I'll check those out.

I like my danny recieving the songs from narnia reasoning better.

Well, it depends on how you put the MP3s on your CD. If they were just copied to the CD as Mp3s, it should work, but if they were burnt into it being an audio cd (ie you can listen to it on a stereo) it won't work.

Google for a Prog called Exact Audio Copy. It does 90% of the heavy lifting for you.

I use a program called CDRWIN to rip files. It's very quick and easy to use.
