That's Dan Hoerner, of Sunny Day Real Estate, speaking of Nate Mendel, who went on to play for the Foo Fighters. Dan, meanwhile, is now playing for (you'd better sit down) DASHBOARD FUCKING CONFESSIONAL. Is anyone here even going to try to defend or explain this to me??

This might require some further explanation. Are you referring to him producing shit like Bush and the Ghost?

dahsboard confessional have a new album out too apparently. has anyone heard it, is it as shitass as i assume it is, or is it some sort of giant leap forward into not making me puke? sigh, emo, i was once 14 too. and havin experienced that phase, i can tell you THE reason emo is popular amongst boys - its because: 1) they fancy some lame bit of jailbait. 2) they are too scared to tell her 3) and they are afraid to masterbate at night in case she happens to find out about it, maybe she might be walking along the street and she'll hear noises or something if he accidentally left the window open, i dunno. 4) sexual tension builds up due to lack of wank action 5) it gets too much, brain builds up barrier of femininity to prevent sudden burstage. 6) the boy needs to listen to emo supply his brain with reinforcement for said barrier.

Hey, as far as I'm concerned he could even be playing with Justin Timberlake and I'd still like him more than the rest.
