The one on II; the SRTS version is indefensible.

I think he uses space and dynamics well.

Listening to it today I realized I knew the whole thing by heart, which I can't say for any other rock drum solo, probably not for any drum solo. It's really not overlong at all. It sort of works by taking you totally out of the rhythmic groove the track starts with, relaxing and tensing with those stutters that grow more and less loud or fast or busy, finally building anticipation for the groove and riffing to come back, concluding the track satisfyingly.

It is just awesome.

I heard it again about two days ago on something, can't remember what it was dammit. It wasn't a CD I own.
Think it might be quite new.


Any ideas?

Classic, of course. I would have loved to hear John Bonham play congas, he gets a really nice sound with his hands on the drums. And it's got the famous Bonham triplets between the hands and the bass drum, which through him were transferred from Elvin Jones to rock star cliche (still the best when he did it though).
