has anyone else heard of a new band called chungking? they're on tummy touch, and are rising fast. i saw them at the big chill last weekend and they blew my mind.

they're quite mellow, but really interesting, with their own unique sound. Bits of philly soul and veering into bacharach territory in places, they manage to meld together to create something quite beautiful.

there's some webstreams featuring some choice cuts from their debut album "We Travel Fast", that are well worth checking out!

Their album is as good as any pop album I've heard this year, but it's not the sort of thing I'd expect to appeal to many ilxors to be honest. Happy to be proved wrong.
