Some of his songs are cool, and Cumberland Gap rox, but most of the time his annoying whiny drawel gets in the way. Fair enough, he's important, but I really can't decide if he's any good.

On the other hand, is he really that important? Are we really saying that we'd be sans all sorts if it wasn't for Lonnie and the washboard?

What do you chaps reckon?
