Apparently to be released shortly - a 5-CD box entitled '5 Easy Pieces'

Does anyone know anything else about this - track listing, presence of rare Tilt outtakes etc.?

Larcole's on the case now, I'm willing to bet.

This I wouldn't have expected. It would seem odd for it to be a career summary, as his last two full-lengths (not counting the Pola X soundtrack of course) are sort of un-condensable. The arc of his career is such a subject of fascination in itself that I think his allure would be tarnished in a synopsis. I mean, what would Til the Band Comes In mean without the MOR covers on side B? The first few albums without the country-pone Tim Hardin, etc. covers? The "comeback" without some sense of the relative dreck that came before it?

Or maybe, just maybe it's 5 CDs of *new material* or even *unreleased material.* Like those Brian Eno collabs that he supposedly tossed into the Thames? One may dream...

If I had to guess, I'd say Scott 1-4 + 1 disc of unreleased/outtakes/B-sides/live.

Yes, your guess is probably right, but who knows. I found out from a teaser at http://www.spincds.com/ but it doesn't say anything more than what I put in my first post.

I've already bought those records twice! Ack!

Maybe it's five CDs of outtakes from Stretch!

Or maybe just 1-4 plus Til The Band Comes In. Those 2000 HDCD remasters of 1-4 were available at domestic prices in the US, right?

If they weren't, maybe this is what you chaps get instead.

Yes, much to my surprise actually, because I think they were still imports. That's when I finally got all the albums!

Scott does: "Big Yellow Taxi," "In the Year 2025," "Incense and Peppermints," "Ode to Billie Joe," "Stand by Your Man," "The Logical Song," and "Crocodile Rock"!

I read somewhere that Scott himself blocked the re-release of Til The Band Comes In, so it's unlikely to have that, not in its entirety anyway.

'5 Easy Pieces' - not a very Scott name. Unfortunately, it's probably got nothing new on it and Scott's had nothing to do with it.

This is the first I have heard of it! I'd be curious to see what was on it, but I doubt it will be anything new.

How come I've got a copy?
