could have made this a classic or dud (still can if you like), but i feel like the only person in the entire world thats even aware of them. 'she had alien written all over her' made my ILM top 40

anyway, i couldn't think of a good question today, so this'll have to do. who likes the primadonnas?

I do, I do.

Although, actually, I've only ever heard 'she had alien........' so I don't have much to add. Just showing solidarity, man. Love that song, though:

"no, damien, noooo".

Hey, just noticed you had Whodini 'Magic's Wand' in there too.

Excellent...

(I think I'm having a rap attack...)

Do you actually have any of their records? I managed to download Nance Music from Audiogalaxy a while ago, which is great (although the line "it's 1998 I know" does make me cringe a bit). Anyway, if you do have any, would it be too cheeky of me to ask for a tape?

emily, i have 3 7"s, and, no, it wouldn't be cheeky to ask. i'll get onto it this week. i'll bundle some other stuff in there too if you like? i'll e-mail with details this eve...

Hi Gareth- I can't access Hotmail so hopefully you'll see this here. I got the tapes and stuff- there's bloody loads of it! Thank you very much, it sounds great. I was going to say that I'd try to finish your tapes and give them to you at the London show, but I don't think I have time- we're effectively setting off on Thursday, so it's a bit pushed...

I have the "Alien" 7" and unfortunately only saw them once live. Liked them a lot. I guess by the time they released their LP I had either let them slip my mind or kind of gotten over the initial rush. They spawned a lot of vampy synth acts around Texas though.

The other bands the individual Primadonnas were in around and before that time were all GREAT: Carbomb, 100 Watt Clock, Tune in Tokyo. None of the schtick, just excellent "post hardcore" or whatever you'd call it.
