inspired by its usage in the brillant brilliant sticky fingaz song jackin beats!!!! whats your take on hate me now five years after the fact?? i never bought i am but i LOVED this song when it was a single and video, didnt see any problem with it and illmatic era nas, now theres a long interview in the latest xxl (nas burning an issue of the source on the cover) and hes going on and on about getting hated on by magazines and sorta glossing over doing a song with puffy, but basically its the exact sentiments OF hate me now, just now hes found something to actually pin it on, rap mags arent 'real hiphop' like him, its just the same old thing about why didnt everybody feeling my mid period cds as much as illmatic...which, i mean, i loved loved loved 'nas is like' and the song with lauryn but its just like...i dunno...hate me now though, a ill song

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Sunday, 10 August 2003 03:30 (twenty-two years ago)

every time the horrible children in my apartment complex swarm around my front lawn i hear "i can" (i don't really, obviously) to the point where i can't hear it anymore.

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Sunday, 10 August 2003 03:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Isn't it, like, 4 years late for the children's chorus on "I Can"? "God's Son" = kinda good twice, back to the store for credit after about 5 listenings
