Bought '3 points and a mountain' on CD last week: a trio with brotzmann and bennink. first time i've heard him and v refreshing to hear someone not playing 'percussively' in that kind of environment. something v straight abt it.

The whole thing is in fact wonderful. FMP does get cast as really 'heavy' etc and a lot of it is and i'm not gonna deny that but this had some lovely shapes and mellow moments.

So what else is there in his discog.

that one on avant or tzadik or whatever "who's bridge" (sic) has some excellent t.monk to the power of x on it but there's a lot of that disc that seems like incidental music - can you still get the dolpht disc with mangelberg and bennink? i'd love that!
