Neil Young's Greendale Thing

I saw the Neil Young Greendale thing in Kansas City on August 9 and thought it was was the worst 90 minutes imaginable. I never figured out what it was all about and hated every minute. I have seen high school (maybe even grade school) plays better than this. I love his music and when that god-awful thing was over got some nice music out of it but had I known how bad it was I would not have shown up. Other people in the crowd, probably about 50% seemed to like it. I felt like I had been transported to a bad dream. What did everyone else think?

I loved it, saw it 7/01 in Mansfield, MA... Bandit was an instant classic, "Hey Mr. Clean" was great too, though it dragged. I saw it again on Music Choice TV, the accoustic version from I guess somewhere in Ireland today... songs were all immensely enjoyable. Its what really won me over as a Neil fan. Think while preachy, was unique and something worth remembering. The dancers/sets were all great too, and added immensely to the show.
