JAY-Z has pulled out of the CARLING WEEKEND: READING AND LEEDS FESTIVALS, NME.COM can exclusively reveal.

The rapper, who was due to play between Staind and Placebo at Reading (August 22) and Leeds (23), will now not be appearing, a spokesperson for the event told NME.COM.

“The Darkness will move into the slot vacated by Jay-Z,” he said. “which means they will now appear on a different day.”

is he still doing the autobio? i remember when word first came about The Black Album, he said the book would be dropping the same day, but it's been months since I've seen any mention of the book so I'm wondering if it's still part of the plan. I hope so, though..that article he wrote in some mag last year (the Source?) was great.
