Aaron A., Monday, 18 August 2003 00:20 (twenty-two years ago)

let know=no (and then get me another beer plz thx)

Aaron A., Monday, 18 August 2003 00:23 (twenty-two years ago)

This is a fascinating question.

My view is that they would rock, but not as hard as necessary.

Why? The name indicates speed: this is good. However the name also indicates caution and prudence: this is not good.

Would they rock or would the suck?

Neither. They'd simply restrain.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 18 August 2003 00:25 (twenty-two years ago)

this band already exists in the future.

keith (keithmcl), Monday, 18 August 2003 00:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll be damned.

Aaron A., Monday, 18 August 2003 00:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Could you alter the future by starting the band, say, next year?

Andrew Frye (paul cox), Monday, 18 August 2003 01:28 (twenty-two years ago)

what about if they were named, "THEE Seatbelts"?

or even, "The Seatbelted"?

Kingfish (Kingfish), Monday, 18 August 2003 01:41 (twenty-two years ago)

If there were a band called The Seatbelts
Would they rock or would the suck?

They'd be doomed to die in a car crash because they weren't wearing theirs.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Monday, 18 August 2003 01:49 (twenty-two years ago)

The Seatbelts are a good band. Cowboy Bebop has great music.

Erick Bieritz (Imbroglio), Monday, 18 August 2003 03:36 (twenty-two years ago)

The Seatbelts would not rock, but they would tour with the Crash Test Dummies.

Matt Helgeson (Matt Helgeson), Monday, 18 August 2003 16:12 (twenty-two years ago)

They would sing power ballads out of their asses. Sorry, power ballads do not rock, regardless of the orifice of origin.

dave225 (Dave225), Monday, 18 August 2003 16:30 (twenty-two years ago)

They would sound exactly like Big Star.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Monday, 18 August 2003 16:37 (twenty-two years ago)

The Seatbelts would be the Principle Skinner of rock bands.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 18 August 2003 16:40 (twenty-two years ago)

They'd open for the Airbags

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Monday, 18 August 2003 17:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Not Dashboard Confessional?

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 18 August 2003 17:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Wait...maybe the Airbags should open...after the Seatbelts tighten up their playing.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Monday, 18 August 2003 17:40 (twenty-two years ago)

their sophomore album would be called Weltz, and would get them on the cover of Teen People

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 18 August 2003 17:42 (twenty-two years ago)

The headliner could be Jaws of Life.

dave225 (Dave225), Monday, 18 August 2003 17:42 (twenty-two years ago)

and they can all do covers of DMB's "Crash"

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Monday, 18 August 2003 17:45 (twenty-two years ago)

The Seatbelts = lame garage rawk.
The Seatbelted = awesome.

NA (Nick A.), Monday, 18 August 2003 17:52 (twenty-two years ago)

the seabells = obscure mid-80s New Zealand led by Sigmund "Zig" Hamish that broke up after recording ep with by Chris Knox that was posthumously released in 1998 on Captain Trip.

earlnash, Monday, 18 August 2003 18:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Seat - Alt-country/ Indie Jayhawks wannabes.
Belt - Industrial Metal, NIN wannabes.

dave225 (Dave225), Monday, 18 August 2003 18:41 (twenty-two years ago)

The Seatbelts are better than the Fatal Injuries, but not as much to see live.
