Limp Bizkit - threat or menace? (Or harmless?) Spooks - duff Fugees lite? All Saints - robbed? Other new entries - what on earth do they sound like? Over to you.

Limp Bizkit -- *sigh* Like so many other things, if they (it?) are ignored, they will go away. The 'wack-ass rhymes' line in Rollin' is funny on a big fat level that doesn't need to be pointed out more than this, which is a nice way of saying that the Biz has already sunk to the level of self-parody. Fred Durst is very short. I walked (quickly) past him while going back to work from lunch and the children towered over him. Classic case of small man's disease. Those black contact lenses look silly. Or was that the guy from Korn? Remember them? I clearly don't. He becomes a walking Keane painting

Spooks -- Who?

All Saints -- Never got close in America; certainly don't care.

Limp Bizkit: Fugging hell. It seems like anyone can get a No.1 except for anyone who's halfway good. Fred Durst should be cruicifed. Oh well. Proof that this is shite - "Rollin'" has been used as an entrance theme for a pro wrestler.....and there's these dumb pro wrestling fans really hate this song. So if even dumb wrestling fans hate it (their target audience?).....well, nuff said there.

Spooks: Who? What? Sounds shite anyway.

All Saints: More like it was us who were robbed. So, they won't be any longer. So what? Will anyone care at all? Naaaah.

I don't think Limp Bizkit pose a serious threat... Come on, they're just pathetic jesters (one of them even paints his face, presumably to better get into the role...). Their songs are catchy (in a Britney Spearesque way...) but obviously get boring after the third listen (very much in a Spearesque way...). They have no sartorial style, they can't write decent lyrics, they pose as thugs, no wonder little kiddies love them!

will this nu-metal craze end someday?

All Saints: they are cute, especially one of them (sorry, I don't know their names...). If only they could write songs! Still, they're better than most mainstream rubbish.

Bye Bye

Well, I've been looking at the letters pages on teletext, (UK Ch4 p452 and BBC1 p561) and over the past couple of days there's been a surprising amount of doggerel from Bizkit "fans" along the lines of: "Oh no!!!! They're at no. 1!!!! They're Pop!!!! Trendies buy teir records!!!!!!"... Along with the usual tiemsome accusations of the band "selling out" and "going commercial"!!!!!! (Erm, unlike like that tune they did last year for Mission Impossible II- a jokey re- write of the original MI theme for flips sake!??!?!?)

Looks like the potential for a "New/Old Manics" type polarisation is brewing!!!!

Old Fart!!!!

In the immortal words of Chuck Eddy, is there an even dumber audience out there to sell out TO ??

Limp Bizkit should be shot. That is all.

As for All Saints, I liked All Hooked Up best from their whole album, which was really quite good. Black Coffee was terribly overrated for such a uneventful tune.
