Sterling Clover (s_clover), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 05:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 05:18 (twenty-two years ago)

didnt bep already have a latin dude?? i thought they were like black/mexican/native american??? theyre the male fannypack!!

trife (simon_tr), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 05:21 (twenty-two years ago)

but yeah i would even put up with the the four kools sarai would insist on smoking after sex

trife (simon_tr), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 05:22 (twenty-two years ago)

except with a girl too, which makes them like blaque + nick cannon or maybe city high + not sucking which makes will.am.i wyclef except he gets better instead of worse with time so they're like the fugees in reverse except they're GLAD they're a cabinet which looks like america unlike pras.

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 05:25 (twenty-two years ago)

sarai got pregnant in tenth grade and had an abortion then dated a dude who got a friend of hers pregnant then this other crazy girl was abused by her mother and killed herself and now she doesn't trust promises from men. its true coz i heard it on her album!

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 05:27 (twenty-two years ago)

they are kinda like the colorful fun fugees now!!!

trife (simon_tr), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 05:36 (twenty-two years ago)

i can't believe you like these guys now?! what is it i'm missing because that new single/video they have is awful.

JasonD (JasonD), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 06:09 (twenty-two years ago)

and one of them (apple?) is actually 1/2 filipino, so they've got all the bases covered

JasonD (JasonD), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 06:10 (twenty-two years ago)

my favorite is 'hey mama'

trife (simon_tr), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 06:14 (twenty-two years ago)

haha "not sucking"

M Matos (M Matos), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 07:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Has she got a stupid BEP style name? Cat.a.list or something?

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 07:32 (twenty-two years ago)

apparently, her name is fergie

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 07:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Could the Black Eyed Peas be any cornier? Everytime I see these fools in a photo or video they're doing some "I'm bad as hell" posing that just makes them look silly. They just can't pull off the hardness thing.

Jay Vee (Manon_70), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 16:32 (twenty-two years ago)

it's hard to be hard when you're greatest song (and maybe the best song of the summer) is "Let's Get Retarded"
But yeah, she's Fergie, which is white as white can be.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 16:37 (twenty-two years ago)

She used to be in Wild Orchid! "Talk to Me"!!!

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 13:54 (twenty-two years ago)

really? isn't Wild Orchid that band that used to be on Wild On all the time? Not that I watch that show, of course.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 13:59 (twenty-two years ago)

They just can't pull off the hardness thing.

Are they really trying to? I don't get that impression. Their whole vibe is the peace and love thing, esp on the new single. (Which I like.)

scott m (mcd), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 14:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Weren't all the members of Wild Orchid from the Mickey Mouse club or one of those Nick kids shows?

Larcole (Nicole), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 14:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Ha ha they're hippy-hop!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 14:13 (twenty-two years ago)

they're totally hippy hop. i used to go to a weekly club in LA called The Breaks (where the Breakestra were the house band and Cut Chemist was the house dj - it was pretty damn fun) and these guys would show up every week to dance in the circle. the whole scene was hippy hop. incense were always burning, kids would make their own clothes, lots of afrocentric talk and dances. the light-skinned dude on the left in that picture is probably the weirdest of them all. way wacky style, beady little eyes. and he was flirting with my wife before the justin/xtina show (they opened i guess)

JasonD (JasonD), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 17:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I like their shoes.

Sonny A. (Keiko), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 17:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Though I gotta say they're not dressed for summer weather!

Sonny A. (Keiko), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 17:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Dude that club sounds great!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 17:34 (twenty-two years ago)

i'd do her.

Jeanne Fury (Jeanne Fury), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 17:55 (twenty-two years ago)

i love the grey hat

Bob Shaw (Bob Shaw), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 17:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I worked with BEP a couple times and found them to be seriously the sweetest people. Will.i.am is a very charismatic man.

And they can dance.

scott m (mcd), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 18:12 (twenty-two years ago)

yes, AMAZING dancers.

what's this thing that's been playing on MTV2 a bunch lately. the Definition of Will.I.Am?? it's him freestyling over a live N*E*R*D band with Pharrell looking on in disbelief most of the time. Will is a pretty badass freestyler. there were a few parts when he's sing/rapping and my mouth dropped. very talented.

but this new single? blech

JasonD (JasonD), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 18:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I actually like it. It's pretty sappy but it's refreshing to hear on the radio.

scott m (mcd), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 18:35 (twenty-two years ago)

two months pass...
Oh my god, why did no one tell me that this was Stacey from Kids Incorporated????

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Saturday, 25 October 2003 18:22 (twenty-two years ago)

s1utsky (slutsky), Saturday, 25 October 2003 22:33 (twenty-two years ago)

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Saturday, 25 October 2003 22:42 (twenty-two years ago)

From this:

to the picture above. Astonishing.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 25 October 2003 22:48 (twenty-two years ago)

is that a ghost?

s1utsky (slutsky), Saturday, 25 October 2003 23:04 (twenty-two years ago)

KIDS INCORPORATED! FIRST MARTIKA, THEN JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT, NOW STACEY!

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Saturday, 25 October 2003 23:06 (twenty-two years ago)

i really like her voice/singing style actually - and 'Shut Up' is fantastic - that strain on her voice is kinda hot, reminds me of the verses in Jade's 'Don't Walk Away' a bit. probably one of the best pop singles of the year (and i really didn't like WITL so this may be one of the most dramatic instances of loving a band's new single after disliking their previous one to the same level, for me).

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 13:53 (twenty-two years ago)

"Shut Up" is leagues better than "Where Is The Love?", but "HEY MAMA"!!!!!!!!!!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 14:16 (twenty-two years ago)

"Where is the Love?" is a power ballad and as such is not that bad...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 14:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Dude, I love "Where Is The Love?". It's just that "Shut Up" is way better and "Hey Mama" is even better than that.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 14:46 (twenty-two years ago)

i look forward to hearing 'Hey Mama'

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 14:58 (twenty-two years ago)

three months pass...
Just watched the video for 'Hey Mama'. Corny but fun graphics, a good track and they ALL do some enviable moves - even Fergie stops standing around and busts some shit while wearing panties from American Apparel. I'd buy it.

Barima (Barima), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 11:31 (twenty-two years ago)

as soon as I saw the video with Fergie in red short shorts I thought of how excited Trife is going to be.

Al (sitcom), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 15:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't decide whether I kinda like or loathe "Hey Mama," which is usually a good sign.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 16:01 (twenty-two years ago)

"Hey Mama" is hot shit!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 16:07 (twenty-two years ago)

six years pass...

they are kinda like the colorful fun fugees now!!!

Like you don't really understand anything about music today until you read the first twenty or so posts in this thread.
