These days are great/There's work to do/Would you like to work with me?/I'd love to work you

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 19:48 (twenty-two years ago)

"These days music fans will be hard-pressed to find an album so satisfying."

Old Nick, Tuesday, 19 August 2003 19:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I dunno. Were The Frost "certainly more influential than they ever got credit for."? Christ in heaven.

"After Alien Ant Farm's deadly bus crash in 2001 in Europe, it was difficult to tell if the band would record again. Lead singer Dryden Mitchell broke his neck, a notoriously difficult injury from which to recover."

Shock, awe and joy.

dleone (dleone), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 19:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Is this the same band that covers michael jackson songs?

"The song is almost painful to listen to. "Tia Lupe" doesn't fit in with the anthems that fills the album, but it is nonetheless a snappy, Latin-inspired love song. These days music fans will be hard-pressed to find an album so satisfying. — Christina Fuoco"

Gabriel Hillingdon, Tuesday, 19 August 2003 19:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Thats a brilliant review even if sarcastic.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 19:56 (twenty-two years ago)

That makes me want to hear the album!

Sonny A. (Keiko), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 19:58 (twenty-two years ago)

"deadly" bus crash? I thought someone would have to die for it to be deadly.

King Kobra (King Kobra), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 20:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe they massacred dozens of Swiss village folk.

dleone (dleone), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 20:04 (twenty-two years ago)

at midnight at tower records there were more people lined up for this than for the neptunes album.

vahid (vahid), Tuesday, 19 August 2003 20:07 (twenty-two years ago)

The bus driver died in the crash I think.

Old Nick, Tuesday, 19 August 2003 20:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Sonny A. :"That makes me want to hear the album!"

Oddly enough, Blender gave that record a 4 out of 5 as well. Either it is really good, or there alot of payola goin around.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 14:38 (twenty-two years ago)

im pulling for this album they are creative dudes.

chaki (chaki), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 14:48 (twenty-two years ago)

If they have produced anything as wonderful as Movies on this album then yes, it should be worth the mark. Come on.

David Merryweather (DavidM), Wednesday, 20 August 2003 16:36 (twenty-two years ago)

LCE, Blender gave it TWO stars. Don't be a liar.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Thursday, 21 August 2003 17:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Gimme a second to pull the magazine out.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Thursday, 21 August 2003 17:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm pretty sure all the mags have been dismissive of this album.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Thursday, 21 August 2003 17:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Ahhhh. It was Rancid's new record that got the four star review.
Miccio is correct, Truant only got a 2 out of 5.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Thursday, 21 August 2003 17:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey, did Rancid deserve a 4 out of 5?

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Thursday, 21 August 2003 17:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I haven't heard the album yet. The single is pleasant and if the album improves on it it might.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Thursday, 21 August 2003 17:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Rancid deserves about a 4, yeah. It's like the Exploited but absurdly sunny and with lots of organ. I like it a lot, but I don't love it. Yet.

Tom Breihan (Tom Breihan), Thursday, 21 August 2003 18:42 (twenty-two years ago)

eight years pass...

"After Alien Ant Farm's deadly bus crash in 2001 in Europe, it was difficult to tell if the band would record again. Lead singer Dryden Mitchell broke his neck, a notoriously difficult injury from which to recover."
Shock, awe and joy.
